Gaucho are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our Gaucho Glasgow restaurant! The successful General Manager candidate will be an experienced restaurant operator, being fully accountable for guest experience, finance, sales growth, legal compliance and team development. The General Manager will work closely with the Operations Director on projects and will take full ownership of them. They will be an ambassador for the business, leading by example and driving the business.
Key Responsibilities of the General Manager
1. Managing financials by plans to drive sales and beat budgets
2. Yearly budget planning and maximising covers whilst protecting the guest experience
3. Fully accountable for full team objectives, management meetings and development planning
4. Effectively management of rotas, employee relation issues and recruitment
5. Practices an open-door policy with the team and makes time to ensure employee welfare
6. Drives the Gaucho culture and manages both the team and senior members. An ambassador of 100% hospitality, standards and cycle of service.
7. Ensuring compliance throughout the business, with the team being fully trained to the correct level, and personally being trained to the correct level.
8. 95% and above on food audits and all compliance.
9. Lazer focus on guest feedback from and mystery diner
10. Leading marketing initiatives
Requirements for Gaucho General Manager
1. An in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry
2. Strong experience managing a successful restaurant
3. WSET Level 2
4. Excellent communicator, and aspirational leader
5. Project management
