As a Team Leader you will lead and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary Logistics team within the Building Constructions Products Division. The Team Leader is the important link between the Section Manager and Team Members.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Reinforce our Values in Action following People Quality Velocity Cost
2. Be able to continually monitor audits of stock daily
3. Lead, motivate, support, evaluate and recognise employees.
4. Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and safe working practices and report appropriately.
5. Undertake training and further learning as required for the Team Leader position and the BCP Safety Recipe.
6. Communicate across departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
7. Proactively review daily operations to ensure production targets and forecasts are achieved.
8. Evaluate production methods and maintain focus, with team input, on promoting the continuous improvement of processes and products utilising lean, Six Sigma and drive innovation.
Required Qualifications:
1. Initiative and strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
2. Cost reduction system experience
3. Experience of the Built In Quality process, reporting defects, root cause analysis.
4. Experience of safety/quality auditing, Hazard Observation Process, Standard work, Inventory, Risk Assessment and Packaging Standards
5. Possess a good understanding of Logistics practices and knowledge of material systems
6. Experience leading a team within Logistics environment
Desired Qualifications:
1. Previous supervisory experience
2. A current Forklift Truck license
3. BSC Certificate in Risk Assessment Level 2
4. Relevant National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2/higher or equivalent
Job Title: Team Leader - Logistics (Afternoons)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £33,800 rising to £37,500 once fully competent
Benefits: 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%, Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution, optional flexible benefits including access to private health and dental care plans.
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Hours: 37.5 afternoons- Mon-Thu 3.30pm-12.15am and Fri 11.15am-3.45pm
Travel: Not required with this role
