Are you an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established law firm based in Newton Abbot. If you’re passionate about making a difference in clients’ lives and providing expert legal advice on Court of Protection matters, this could be the perfect role for you.
As a Private Client Court of Protection specialist, you will be responsible for managing a variety of cases, including:
* Handling deputyship applications and managing clients’ financial affairs
* Assisting clients with issues around mental capacity and best interests decisions
* Liaising with family members, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure client needs are met
* Drafting applications for the Court of Protection, including statutory wills and gift applications
* Providing expert legal advice on Powers of Attorney
Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Court of Protection matters
* Strong communication skills and ability to work compassionately with vulnerable clients and their families
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a varied caseload
* Knowledge of mental capacity law, deputyship orders, and the legal framework of the Court of Protection
