The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member: Youth Officer 24-248-YO-YM-WEB Job Role Youth Officer Location Community Inclusion Services - Children and Young People Western Health and Social Care Trust (North) Salary £27,334 per annum Hours 37 hours per week The Service The Youth Matters Service is a dynamic youth work service supporting children and young people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injury and those who have a diagnosis of autism through personal and social development opportunities, social activities and inclusive partnerships. The Role The Youth officer will be responsible for promoting the inclusion of children and young people with disabilities, autism and brain injury in a broad range of mainstream activities by developing their social and emotional skills to enable them to participate in their local community. The Youth Officer will also facilitate disability and inclusion training to local stakeholder and promote inclusion throughout the sector. This job involves regular evening and weekend work. Cycle to work scheme Essential Criteria RQF level 6 (e.g. Bachelor's Degree) or equivalent level in Youth & Community, Playwork, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline. AND Minimum of 1 years paid experience of planning and delivering group based personal and social development programmes for children and young people OR Minimum RQF 4 or equivalent in Youth & Community, Health & Social Care, Education or another relevant discipline AND Minimum of 3 years paid experience of planning and delivering group based personal and social development programmes for children and young people.
