An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team providing a therapy service to older adults within Beech Frailty Unit, an emergency department for older adults.
The responsibilities of the post will be to monitor quality of care and provide expert Occupational Therapy input. The department is actively involved in the education of other health care professionals, and you will be expected to participate in this training. You will work as part of an integrated therapy team and liaise closely with community organisations.
We are looking for innovative individuals who are excellent communicators, good team players with exceptional leadership skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary working environment.
Main duties of the job
1. Through a holistic approach, provide a specialist standard of Occupational Therapy service to patients within your area of speciality, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.
2. Give highly specialist guidance to other members of the MDT on matters relating to your specialist area.
Person specification
Education/ Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* H.P.C. Registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Appropriate post graduate study in specialist field
Experience/ Knowledge
* Extensive clinical experience in the relevant field at a senior level
* Evidence of recent leadership
* Evidence of developing service provision
