Company Overview: A market-leading specialist business with projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Transactional Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role will have a strong focus on transactional finance, particularly accounts payable, and will be instrumental in supporting multi-site financial operations. The Role: As a Transactional Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial transactions across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Overseeing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Managing the accounts payable ledger, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving any discrepancies. Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling key accounts. Assisting with cash flow forecasting and monitoring accounts payable trends to improve working capital management. Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to streamline processes and maintain strong financial controls. Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. Supporting the preparation of management accounts, including variance analysis and reporting on transactional data. Driving process improvements and supporting system enhancements to increase efficiency in transactional finance operations. Ensuring adherence to company financial policies and procedures across all sites. Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects, reporting, and audits as required. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an AAT-qualified / Part qualified finance professional with strong transactional finance experience, particularly in accounts payable, within a multi-site environment. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in accounts payable and transactional finance within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and controls. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams. Proficiency in financial systems, including accounts payable modules, and strong Microsoft Excel skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement. Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads, and work independently as well as part of a team.
