At PlotBox we deal with a huge amount of data, ranging from critical business data to precious genealogical information. Our customers expect their data to be accurate and safe during the on-boarding process and whilst operating on a cloud platform. We provide our customers with confidence from the beginning of our relationship. We are looking for a Technical Consultant to ensure we on-board our customers data from legacy platforms in a safe, efficient and consistent manner. Reporting into the Data Migration Delivery Team Lead, you will work directly with clients to ensure data migration deliverables are achieved, updating PlotBox Project Managers regularly to ensure projects stay on track. You will have the opportunity to work on projects across our entire global client base and support our customers during critical stages within the project. What you will do : As Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for: Working closely with our customers to support their data migration journey. You will engage with stakeholders to discuss and address data related issues, ensuring any challenges are identified and resolved effectively Assisting customers with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), helping to validate data quality and system functionality to ensure smooth and successful transitions Execution of customer data migration plans Development of migration scripts from target databases to upgraded schema Analysing clients Data and drafting Data Analysis Reports Executing Quality Assurance tests and checks on Data Migration scripts Ensure that all Project Data Migration activities are delivered on-time, within scope and to budget Working with various types of data ranging from personal ownership records through to complex financial data What we are looking for : At least 12 months professional experience in a similar role Solid SQL skills, including query writing and stored procedures Experience of working with varied data formats (csv, MS SQL, Excel, MySQL Postgres etc) Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or working knowledge of Google Drives (docs, sheets, slides etc.) Experience of working closely with customers to gather requirements or support UAT Experience of contributing to process improvements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrable experience working effectively alongside clients and colleagues at all levels, sometimes very senior Desirable Experience -It's not a deal breaker, but ideally you will have: Experience of working with complex data migration from legacy systems to SaaS and/or experience in a business analysis role or have requirements gathering techniques Basic knowledge of Python Why should you join PlotBox ?
