This is a remote role; however, the candidate should be based near Greater Manchester, as regular travel to Manchester will be required. We’re looking for a creative and proactive Marketing Communications Executive to support content, PR, and event initiatives that enhance i6’s brand presence and engage our B2B audience. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is pivotal in executing multi-channel communication strategies, creating compelling content, and managing industry events and sponsorships. This role requires a blend of strong content and copywriting skills, PR acumen, and event management experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Role Overview 1. Content Creation & Brand Storytelling Develop and manage a content calendar, producing engaging content, such as blogs, case studies, ebooks, whitepapers, offline materials, podcasts, videos, and social media posts. Write, edit, and proofread marketing materials, including press releases, website content, and email newsletters. Collaborate with freelancers, designers and agencies to create multimedia content such as videos, infographics and direct mail content. Ensure all content aligns with i6’s brand voice and supports marketing campaigns. Translate complex technical product information into clear, engaging marketing content that resonates with our target audience. 2. PR & Media Relations Build and maintain relationships with aviation and fuel industry publications to secure media coverage. Draft and distribute press releases and thought leadership pieces to enhance brand awareness. Identify PR opportunities, including speaking engagements, awards submissions, and industry commentary. Monitor media coverage and manage emergency communications, if needed. 3. Event Management & Industry Engagement Support the planning and execution of industry events, trade shows, and webinars. Coordinate event logistics, including booth setup, marketing materials, and event promotions. Manage sponsorships and explore partnership opportunities to expand i6’s influence. Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to analyse event performance and maximise lead generation. 4. Sales Enablement & Marketing Materials Create and manage sales enablement materials, such as brochures, pitch decks, case studies, and customer success stories. Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure marketing assets meet commercial objectives and support sales activities. Collaborate with the Product team to ensure that materials are accurate and are positioned appropriately. 5. Social Media & Community Management Manage LinkedIn and other relevant social media channels, ensuring consistent brand engagement. Develop social media content that highlights company milestones, industry trends, and customer success stories. Track social media performance metrics and optimise strategies for engagement. 6. Internal & Customer Communications Assist with internal communications, including company updates and employee engagement initiatives. Support customer email marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging is aligned with commercial goals. Experience & Skills 4 years of experience in B2B communications, content marketing, PR, or events (preferably in aviation fuel or a similar niche environment). Strong copywriting and editing skills, with experience creating content for different online and offline channels. Ability to take complex technical product information and translate it into compelling market-focused content. Experience with media relations and PR best practices. Experience managing social media platforms (especially LinkedIn) and tracking engagement metrics. Ability to plan and execute industry events, conferences, and webinars. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience using CMS platforms, social media tools, and email marketing software. Experience in the aviation or fuel industry. Knowledge of SEO and content optimisation. Experience with Account-based Marketing (ABM) and personalisation. Basic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools). Experience working with HubSpot or other marketing automation tools. Content creation for global audiences.
