Main duties of the job
3. Be a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPHC or a Registered Science Manufacturing Technician with the Science Council.
4. Hold BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Science Manufacturing.
5. Have experience working in an Aseptic Dispensing Unit.
6. Applicants awaiting qualification will be considered.

13. Further IT skills including 'word' and 'Excel' programs
Qualifications
Essential
14. NVQ 3 / BTEC in pharmaceutical science or equivalent
15. Registered Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council

16. A levels
Further Training
Essential
17. To have completed in house training for preparation of intrathecal injections, or be willing to do so and undertake annual update
18. Validated to check volumes and drug additions, or be willing to undertake validation.
19. Validated aseptic technique, or be willing to undertake validation
20. Validation involves 3 monthly broth transfer tests.
21. Validated, or be willing to undertake annual transfer validations

22. Recent and up-to-date post qualification hospital pharmacy experience
23. Aseptic work experience
24. Good verbal and written communication skills

27. Ability to work weekends/bank holidays.
28. Neonatal on call rota
29. No long-term infectious diseases or drug allergies precluding sterile/non-sterile production work.
30. Regular fire lectures and manual handling training
