Overview of Role: The Threat Intelligence Analyst at ASOS is tasked with monitoring, analysing and helping to mitigate threats, ensuring the Security, Integrity and Availability of ASOS assets. The individual will report on Intelligence findings and suggest solutions to contribute to improving the Security Posture of ASOS. This is a key role in our Security Operations function and will require SME level knowledge and a high level of experience of Threat Intelligence in a large organisation, ideally in the retail sector.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Using existing tools, including custom developed and off the shelf solutions to monitor and gather threat intelligence from an array of sources, including OSINT, dark web forums, industry feeds, and other relevant data sources.
2. Build out the processes to Identify and prioritize potential threats to our organization.
3. Contribute and develop threat intel strategies, policies, and procedures.
4. Horizon scanning of Threats, including of threat groups, their capabilities, motivations, and tactics, creating rich reports to advise Leadership.
5. Collaboration with relevant internal and external teams to build threat intelligence best practices into detection and response processes.
6. Continuously evaluation and improvement of threat intelligence processes to enhance the organizations cyber security posture.
7. Provide guidance and expertise to the business to promote best practice.
About You:
1. The ideal candidate will have SME level experience in Threat Intelligence, being time served in this area and with previous experience building a threat intelligence capability from the ground up.
2. Relevant industry qualifications in the field of Cyber Security prior to Threat Intelligence will be pre-requisite.
3. A working knowledge of the full stack of technology Infrastructure, Cloud, SDLC and Networking.
4. A curiosity around Cyber Threat Intelligence, able to pull at a thread and investigate risks in disparate areas.
5. Proficient in using threat intelligence platforms, data mining, and analytical techniques.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for presenting technical information clearly and collaborating with cross functional teams.
7. Self-motivated with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
