SEN Learning Support Assistant

Position Details:
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Pay: £85-90 per hour (Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay)
Contract: Temp to Perm, Full-Time (Monday - Friday)
Your Role as a SEN Learning Support Assistant:
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support students individually, in groups, or across the class. You'll also help track progress, encourage positive behaviour, and create a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise engaging learning resources and activities.
- Adapt lessons to meet students' needs.
- Provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with personal care when required.
- Supervise pupils during educational visits and breaks.
- Promote independence, teamwork, and positive behaviour.
- Use ICT tools to enhance learning.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals.
Skills and Requirements:
- Education: GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent).
- Experience: SEN experience is preferable.
- Transport: Full UK driving licence or ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
- Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Commitment: Passion for fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
