As a Team Manager you will:
1. Act as a leader within CPST taking specific responsibility for service pathways, workflows or areas whilst retaining extensive operational knowledge of all CPST functions. Potentially to include the management of a 7-day per week rota to support hospital discharge.
2. Line-manage a team, including absence and performance management processes.
3. Liaise and co-ordinate services across health and social care ensuring the effective planning, sourcing and purchasing of services for community-based and hospital discharge referrals.
4. Support the implementation of agreed approaches and ways of working across the service, such as strengths-based approaches and Community-led Support.
5. Analyse and evaluate service provision and technical or service specialist information. Identify solutions (according to existing policies and procedures) which shape service delivery.
6. Develop quality assurance and oversight controls for operational compliance with SOP, financial processes and utilisation of contracted services. Review and respond to service complaints.
7. Manage the shape of the current and future team service and contribute to the development of future service provision, including reviewing and recommending changes to systems, processes, procedures and practices.
8. Direct responsibility for authorising care budgets and staffing budgets. Deliver financial best value and implement budget savings programmes, including negotiating placement arrangements and costings.
9. Manage direction of resources to respond to changing operational pressures and ensuring continuity of service across operating hours.
10. Lead and support internal and external colleagues in the commissioning and contract managing of services.
11. Build and develop effective relationships with key service providers and partner organisations.
12. Deputise for the Service Manager and provide cover for other CPST Team Managers

14. Experience of working within social care, demonstrating full understanding of social care services, practices and
15. Experience of working within or alongside health care organisations, including NHS.
16. Experience of managing teams and individuals in a high pressure and high-risk environment providing statutory services to vulnerable people.
17. Experience of managing a budget
18. Experience of design and delivery of service development programmes including processes, systems, staff training, oversight controls, implementing processes and ways of working across large teams.
19. Competent experience in IT with the ability to source and analyse data and effectively present to a range of audiences.
20. Experience of supporting initiatives in a political environment.
21. Ability to work under pressure, and to prioritise and meet tight deadlines, whilst working strategically without losing sight of the detail.
22. Ability to analyse complex information and produce reports for presentation and financial monitoring purposes at all levels and monitor delivery against objectives and targets.
23. Ability to effectively communicate, influence and negotiate across individuals, teams and groups, through a variety of methods.
