We’re Hiring: Data Analyst
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Analyst to join an enterprise-level Scottish business embarking on a major tech transformation journey. With a focus on modernising data governance, improving data quality, and lifecycle management, this role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping the future of the company’s data landscape.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in data governance and data quality. The Data Analyst will work closely with multiple departments to gather and integrate data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with regulatory standards. By maintaining the integrity of business data, the Data Analyst will be instrumental in supporting ongoing and future transformation initiatives.
This is initially a fixed-term position until May 2026, however, there is strong potential for permanent extension.

There is also the opportunity to up-skill and contribute to the development of data visualisation tools using Tableau and Power BI in collaboration with Data Engineers - creating insightful dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for senior leadership and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure data quality and governance standards are upheld across the business
* Work closely with multiple departments to integrate and process data accurately
* Develop and maintain data pipelines, reporting tools, and analytics processes
* Collaborate with Data Engineers to create insightful data visualisations in Tableau and Power BI
* Support business transformation efforts by providing actionable insights through data analysis
* Ensure data compliance with regulatory and organisational governance standards
* Participate in technical due diligence and governance activities
* Identify and recommend improvements to existing data systems and workflows
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a data analyst or related data governance role
* Proven track record of working on large-scale data governance and transformation projects
* Strong knowledge of data quality principles and regulatory compliance
* Experience working with data governance tools such as Aperture Data Studio and Purview
* Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI for data visualisation is advantageous
* Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with commercial acumen
