Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament.World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.
Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The LOC intends to appoint a Workforce Coordinator reporting to the Workforce Manager. The ‘workforce’ for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 includes all paid staff, volunteers and contractors required to deliver the tournament.
What you’ll be doing:
* Lead on key elements of the Volunteer Programme, in particular focusing on volunteer engagement opportunities across all venues
* Oversee volunteer communications, assisting with queries and issue resolution in a timely manner
* Support on key workforce planning elements including scheduling & rostering, recruitment and onboarding, and workforce operations on venue
* Assist with the creation of Workforce training materials to support the onboarding and development of paid staff and volunteers at tournament time
* Collaborate with colleagues across the business to coordinate the ordering anddistribution process of Tournament time uniform for paid staff and volunteers
* Support the development of key workforce documentation including operational policies and procedures, as well as staff and volunteer manuals
* Maintain records and databases through the Tournament Management System, and produce effective reporting to inform workforce operations
* Contribute to the creation of a unique Reward & Recognition programme to enhance workforce experience and retention
* Support with wider Workforce tasks as required to ensure the effective delivery of the Workforce functional area at tournament time
Experience & knowledge you’ll need:
* Proven experience within workforce management
* Experience managing a high volume of volunteers
* Experience of coordinating project plans for complex events
* Familiarity with workforce management systems
* Strong stakeholder management and communications skills
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice to Haves:
* A HR, Events or Sports Management related degree
* Experience in using tournament management systems
* Experience within major sporting events or a multi-venue event
