Maintenance Technician – Multi Skilled
Full Time
40 hours per week 9am – 5pm
Working 5 days over 7 to include weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
£25,000 - £28,000 per annum, plus service charge
To support the continual growth of our Maintenance Team we require a General Operative.
You will report to the Head of Built Environment and will be required to carry out maintenance and upkeep work on the buildings of the Swinton Estate including farms, residential properties, hotel, spa, Bivouac and staff accommodation.
The position is 5 days 40 hours which will include weekends and bank holidays on a rota, this role will also have an out of hours on call rota. Normal hours on any working day no matter week, weekend or bank holiday will be 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m.

Essential Requirements include:
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* UK Driving Licence
* Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
* A trade background, with a good understanding of the Built Environment
Other Requirements include:
* Ability to operate (or willingness to undertake training) of mobile access equipment
* Be familiar with production of risk and method statements and point of work risk assessments and fully encourage/support the use of and filing of associated paperwork
* Evidence of attendance on a H&S course
* Work collaboratively and courteously by carrying out instructions, being keen to learn and ask for help and assist others within and outside the immediate department
* Ability to organise self, work under pressure and without supervision
* Create confidence by being an expert at what you do, by acting and looking the part and adapting to changing circumstances
* Encourage success by supporting and respecting building occupants and colleagues
* ‘Make it happen’ by taking ownership for getting things done and working seamlessly with others to complete the task in hand
Training in these areas will be given if necessary.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Undertaking general maintenance items as required by the business as they arise and as set out by the Maintenance Manager
* Working collaboratively as part of a team, to undertake all reactive and planned maintenance across the Estate and Leisure assets
* Attending all statutory health and safety training as required
* Keeping up to date of all planned maintenance tasks, including logbooks and coordination of all external contractors, making sure certification for those tasks that require it are recorded in hard copy and electronically in the correct folder(s)
* Consider how activity within the department impacts the environment, takes an active part in recycling and reducing the carbon footprint
* To collect information daily from all associated departments relating to any form of equipment or defect that may contribute to the disruption of any day to day operations, so that remedial action can be implemented. Any outstanding remedial action to be implemented as soon as is physically possible.
* Be prepared for the out of hours call outs, as and when necessary, due to emergencies that may arise unexpectedly (when on rota)
* To attend all training courses as scheduled and instructed to do so & attend all statutory health and safety training as required
