Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Staff Nurse working within the CYPS Lotus ward based at Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough. Lotus is a standalone 10 bedded General Admission Unit, providing assessment and treatment for young people aged between 13-18 years.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered, ensuring safety and a commitment to promoting care and treatment to young people.
As a staff nurse, you will partake in the planning & delivery of clinical interventions, reviews, and discharge planning.
You will act as a named nurse, developing co-produced, patient-centred needs-based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
You will deliver high quality care that is evidence-based, effective, and equitable.
You will be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff, service users, families, and carers.
You will be visible and accessible to both patients and families, working together to ensure efficient, effective, safe, and caring services.
You will contribute to all performance indicators, essential standards, and quality outcomes.
You will contribute to the education and development of the workforce and students.
You will participate in staff supervisions and support personal development plans.
You will safely administer medications following trust policies and practice guidelines.
You will provide compassionate care based on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.
