Description
FarmRight Ltd operates as Portfolio Investment Manager for the New Zealand Superannuation Fund and oversees more than 18,400 hectares of farm and orchard land across the country. At FarmRight, we take a sustainable, long-term view, investing in the success of our people and in opportunities which provide a win-win outcome for all involved. In 2017, FarmRight widened its scope into viticulture and horticulture management and today continues to analyse and acquire commercial rural properties, providing a need for ongoing operational and management capability.
An exciting opportunity has been created with the most recent acquisition of dairy land in Pendarves (20 mins NE from Ashburton) to be converted to a 250 ha Rockit and Joli Apple orchard. Growing on modern structures and utilising innovative technology and modern systems to enhance productivity and sustainability across the orchard.
Onsite development has commenced and as this progresses, the requirement for more labour is steadily increasing.
Are you an organised, proactive, and detail-orientated professional looking for a dynamic role within our thriving pipfruit industry? We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our team and support our operations at our Torea orchard development. This is a diverse role that offers the opportunity to work across several key areas including payroll, compliance, finance, and general administration duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll Management – Preparation of fortnightly payroll, ensure accurate data entry and address any payroll queries;
* Global GAP Compliance – Maintain and manage records to ensure compliance with Global GAP standards and audit requirements;
* Finance Support – Assist with accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation of expenses, and support financial reporting as required;
* Accommodation Coordination – Assist other staff as required with staff accommodation logistics, maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with regulations;
* Ordering Provisions – Manage inventory and ordering of office and operation supplies as required;
* General Office Duties – Be a first point of contact for all internal and external inquiries and other office duties as required.
Who We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in an administrative or similar role;
* Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software systems, such as ABC, Smartly is desirable;
* Familiarity with compliance standards, such as Global GAP is desirable;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
* Possess a can-do attitude with a problem-solving mindset;
