Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking team player to join the Learning and Development team at North Middlesex Hospital to provide professional administrative support to the Education and Training specialty. Apprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognized qualification while completing on-the-job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors. Study time will be allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.
For this role, you will undertake a 22-month development program as a Learning and Development Practitioner within the Learning and Development team through work-based learning and attending regular training sessions. Successful completion will lead to an Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3.
This position is on a fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become permanent upon successful qualification completion.
Applicants must have resided in the UK for at least 3 years at the start of the apprenticeship. If you already hold a relevant qualification at this level or higher, you are not eligible to apply.
Main duties of the job
* Proficiency and expertise with technology
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new software and applications
* Ensure equipment is in good working order and report issues
* Support linking IT systems for effective learning management
* Assist in developing and managing reporting systems
* Support delivery of the Corporate Induction programme
* Assist with administrative tasks related to e-learning to increase training compliance
* Handle enquiries via phone, email, MS Teams, and face-to-face

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
IT Training
* Proficiency and expertise with technology
* Maintain knowledge of new software and applications
* Ensure equipment is functional and report issues

* Develop and manage reporting systems
* Prepare data reports from learning systems and databases
Corporate Induction
* Support delivery of the induction programme
* Invite staff to induction and record attendance accurately
Key administrative tasks
* Support administrative tasks to improve training compliance
* Prepare login details, training packs, evaluation forms, and certificates
* Ensure equipment is maintained and secured
* Generate reports from systems
* Manage room bookings and AV equipment
* Handle enquiries and correspondence
* Assist other administrative roles as needed
* Participate in departmental meetings
* Promote mandatory training and a positive learning culture
Person specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent
* 5 GCSEs at A*-C or 9-4 grades or equivalent
Experience
* Awareness of patient confidentiality and healthcare information systems
