We are on the lookout for new talent to join our team based in the Bristol depot as a Heavy Maintenance Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the successful mobilisation, deployment, and commercial delivery of our heavy maintenance projects.

What you will be doing:
1. Develop effective internal and external working relationships that deliver all key elements of Heavy Maintenance contracts.
2. Ensure all work undertaken is in line with customer, technical, and legislative standards and specifications.
3. Ensure all work undertaken is done so in a timely manner and to a high standard, in line with customer expectations.
4. Establish safe systems of work in accordance with relevant customer, business, or legislative standards.
5. Recruit and develop appropriately skilled teams to deliver specific work packages.
6. Recruit and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and Planners to support projects.
7. Provision of regular management information and Key Performance Indicators that report on key project deliverables.
8. Undertake and complete annual Performance Development Reviews with direct reports, in a timely manner.
9. Support the bid team as required with input to support potential new work opportunities and contracts.
10. Lead the mobilization for new projects, including the development of deliverables such as resource plans, work breakdown structures, tooling requirements, risk register, Bill of Material(s), and Specification Review – all in accordance with company Heavy Maintenance Mobilization procedure.
11. Deliver and maintain excellent standards of housekeeping.
12. Manage customer interfaces including leading Contract Review Meetings.
13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of LEAN techniques and processes.
14. Develop internal systems, processes, procedures, and reporting mechanisms providing clear control.
15. Deliver proactive customer management identifying and developing possible opportunities to maximize revenues and cost savings.
What do you need to apply?
1. Minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
2. Previous experience, involvement, and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities.
3. Understanding of depot operations.
