This course will be offered full time at level 7 (Post Graduate Diploma), via online learning through Oxford Brookes University. There is no requirement to attend Oxford Brookes University in person. Clinical placements are available at our school nurses bases at Arundel and in Hassocks, West Sussex, for those currently residing or relocating within the service localities prior to course commencement. School nurses and health visitors lead the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) in Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. School Nurses work with children aged between 5 and 19 to identify and assess their health needs, then offer support to ensure that the child’s health needs are met. School Nurses have contact with children and young people in schools, homes, community venues and virtually from school entry to school leavers.
