The school is an ‘Outstanding’ rated all-through SEN school for students aged 3-19 with severe speech, language and communication difficulties.
The Role – SEN Class Teacher
1. Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with S&L difficulties, autism and complex learning difficulties.
2. Create a nurturing and structured learning environment that promotes emotional regulation, independence, and personal growth.
3. Work collaboratively with a team of support staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic student development.
4. Use a range of innovative teaching methods to inspire curiosity and foster a love for learning.
5. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community to support student progress and well-being.
6. Support students in developing life skills that will enable them to achieve independence and confidence in their futures.
Who We Are Looking For - SEN Class Teacher
1. A qualified teacher (QTS) with a genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs, primary and secondary roles available.
2. Experience in teaching students with SEND, particularly those with autism, communication needs, or complex learning difficulties. Experience of working in a SEN school is not essential, but knowledge is required.
3. A creative and adaptable teacher who can tailor learning to meet the individual needs of each student.
4. A team player who is eager to collaborate with staff, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for students.
5. Someone who is resilient, patient, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
6. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning.
