Job title: Graduate Project Engineer

As a Graduate Project Engineer at Honeywell, in Motherwell, you will learn to design, build & test the Integrated Control and Safety Systems for clients such as BP, Shell, and ExxonMobil. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
Key responsibilities:
1. The purpose of this role is to execute projects and further develop your engineering skills.
2. This will involve implementing defined parts of standard engineering solutions under the close supervision of other project engineers and assisting in the development of new or non-standard solutions.
3. Deliver work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
4. Pro-actively look to build cross discipline experience and increase knowledge through working with other engineers.
5. There are several different engineering areas that make up a project team. You will gain exposure in all these areas as a Graduate Project Engineer. Those areas are: Systems Hardware Design, System Hardware Build, Software Application Development/Build, HMI Development, System Integration, Internal Testing, and Customer Acceptance Testing.
Key skills and qualifications:
1. Studying towards or recently graduated, (2024/5) from a degree in engineering, preferably one of the following subject areas: Electrical, Electronic, Control & Instrumentation.
2. Working Knowledge of MS Office.
3. Business level English written and spoken language skills.
4. Full right to work in the UK, (this role does not offer visa sponsorship).
5. Can commute with ease to the Motherwell office.
