About the role: There is a mix of daily task management required for this position with a focus on delivering/ collecting waste containers throughout the city daily. You will also be responsible for: Ensuring a first class delivery/collection service of waste containers on a daily basis throughout the City Keep accurate records of waste container deliveries, returns and maintenance Take delivery of incoming containers, sorting, storage and unloading where necessary. Responsibility for backload of containers for refurbishment where appropriate. Monitor and record stock level on weekly basis. Identify and refurbish/clean/jet wash suitable containers for reissue. Always maintain cleanliness and security of the Red Lodge Depot, being mindful of the value of stock on site at any time and risks to others. Assist in any aspect of operations undertaken by Waste Operations. Report back to Development Officer, with a weekly audit of bins, and forecasting of orders. Responsibility to ensure that all returned containers are emptied on a regular basis. Demonstrate ability to plan and monitor own workload. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of Southampton and be able to route plan to maximise efficiency throughout each day.
