Location: Neston, Runcorn, Nookside Job Type: Full-time & Part-time positions available ⏳ Shift Patterns: Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM Sleep-in Shift: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM (Sleep-in 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, then work 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM) Waking Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM About the Role: We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Female Support Worker to provide dedicated care for an adult male in a residential setting. Your role will focus on supporting daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering independence through structured engagement and meaningful activities. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Promote the well-being and personal development of the service user. ✅ Record and report observations and progress. ✅ Facilitate and engage in leisure activities both in-house and in the community. ✅ Implement care plans and communicate any changes effectively. ✅ Assist with household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry. ✅ Provide direct personal care, including prompting and occasional hands-on support. Requirements: Transport: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to drive manual vehicles. Training & Experience: Essential: Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviors. Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support (PBS). Training in physical intervention. Experience with sensory integration strategies. Minimum 1 year of experience in adult social care. Familiarity with digital care planning systems (Access Care Planning preferred). Preferred but not essential: Understanding of PACE, PERMA, or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Language Skills: Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing). Personal Attributes: Nurturing, resilient, and open-minded approach. Solution-focused and proactive in engaging with service users. Strong environmental awareness and ability to read body language. Encouraging and positive attitude with a hands-on mindset. Ability to work effectively in a low-stimulation environment. About the Service User: Enjoys washing machines, water play, sensory activities, and a crunchy sensory diet. Follows a structured daily routine and enjoys outdoor walks. Has echolalia (repeats words/phrases) and benefits from a calm, low-stimulation environment.
