Deliver a commercially focused product range that meets company and team targets while maintaining a strategic business focus for continued growth within the categories.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with large FMCG suppliers and smaller independent suppliers.
* Sources suppliers and negotiates best cost prices.
* Analyse sales figures to plan successful future lines.
* Review own brand stock levels to ensure adequate stock and minimise risk.
* Presents reports, figures, and trend information to the Senior Management team.
* Deal with damaged or out of date product problems and queries.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity.
Key requirements:
* Experience in a fast-paced retail environment preferably in a FMCG / Food retailer.
* Influence and negotiate effectively.
* Adapt swiftly in a fast-paced, ever-changing FMCG market.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively at all levels.
* Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects.
* Excellent understanding of MS Office products including advanced Excel.
