You will work with supervision and in line with applicable SRA requirements, providing focused commercial, pragmatic and timely legal advice across multiple areas of law.’ The Challenge In your role as Solicitor you will be a valued member of the Escode Legal Team. In this role you will be responsible for working with the business to support a range of legal activities. Responsibilities will include: Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and other legal documents Creating templates for new products and channel sales streams and updating existing contracts used by Escode Providing training to new starters in the UK sales and operational teams Providing legal advice to colleagues on a wide range of legal and commercial issues including IP and contentious issues Managing daily work flow and supporting the rest of the team Researching and advising on technical queries relating to the escrow and cyber security industry Liaising with other parts of the business to support compliance, corporate and the Co Sec team. Supporting our international offices, such as Europe and the US with contract reviews (with an English law perspective). Essential Skills Evidence of an understanding of Key Competencies and provide relevant examples where possible (see below) Prior experience of working in a legal environment (or work experience) desirable, ideally of being in a legal role providing advice Prior work experience which evidences ability to work in a team Prior work experience which evidences ability to handle people with a wide range of backgrounds and requirements Knowledge of the IT sector, particularly Escrow and Cyber-security, desirable Strong IT skills (Microsoft Windows and Office software) Key Competencies that we look for are: Communication and stakeholder management: Clear and concise communication Ability to quickly and effectively develop strong working relationships with colleagues, and rapport with clients and partners Ability to influence key stakeholders Professional excellence: Appropriate skills, experience and knowledge relevant to the role.
