Senior Home Support Services Worker Team purpose: Working together to create a strong and resilient team with a variety of skills to improve and embed systems of working that supports our vision for high quality, flexible, integrated services in the home and wider community. The team will support one another and work with the Operations Manager and key partners to design and implement new activities that will improve overall wellbeing of people we support. Job purpose: The Senior Home Services Worker will work within the team to facilitate and provide person-centred support based on people’s individual outcomes and provide guidance and support to Home Service Workers, adding capacity to the organisational structure of Home Support Services, this will be in line with the agreed policies and procedures of Age UK Doncaster and in a manner which promotes the dignity and independence of the people we support. Main duties: Work alongside people we support to deliver person-centred, outcome-focused support in line with Age UK Doncaster’s policies and procedures Provide support and act as a role model and mentor for new and existing staff Undertake community supervision with home service workers. Ensure that Home Service Workers have access to a supply of protective clothing and equipment Carry out risk assessments and formulate support plans with service users and their key individuals. Undertake quality assurance measures including face to face visits and reviews Liaise with the people we support, their important individuals and next of kin as required Liaise with statutory agencies as required and at all times maintain professional relationships Support the home services co-ordinator to evolve, develop and embed new services and ways of working. Provide support and cover for the home services organiser including rescheduling visits for short term absence and completing the weekly rota where required. Work closely with the wider team to ensure appropriate cover at all times for all Services as per Age UK Doncaster Continuity Plan. To undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the job purpose that may from time to time be required by management. Hours of work: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday initially. Evening and weekend on call duties on a rota basis (Potential for job share at 17.5 hours per week)
