Drilling Materials Management Specialist
Scope/Overall Purpose of Job
Provide materials control support for wells operations across all aspects of materials and inventory management.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Deliver material management support to drilling operations;
2. Coordinate and liaise between the onshore Engineering team, offshore Drilling Materials Controller, external suppliers, and warehousing providers to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet drilling schedules.
3. Act as the focal point for Kabal end-to-end processes regarding materials, including vendor training, time planner preparation, managing cargo packages, and monitoring well consumption and inventories with Offshore DMC.
4. Coordinate with Freight Management or aviation suppliers for urgent air freight requirements;
5. Provide real-time information on inventory material availability to key stakeholders;
6. Resolve queries regarding material status, supply, and availability, and perform required company ERP system interrogation;
7. Perform all materials management processes within SAP for drilling operations prior to any physical movement of materials;
8. Identify requirements for marine vessels to support operations and engage with the Logistics and SCM team for vessel selection;
9. Create Material Masters Requests for Wells equipment and requisitions for all materials purchases in the e-procurement system (SAP);
10. Support the resolution of discrepancies identified during inventory counts on Wells Materials;
11. Plan OCTG Materials for all wells operations, ensuring timely procurement of long lead items;
12. Prepare Well Reconciliation within 60 days of completion of drilling and completion operations;
13. Participate in Inventory Count programs for third-party vendor sites and warehouses, including cycle counts and reconciliations.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required
Minimum 10 - 15 years in materials and inventory management in a Wells/Drilling environment.
Strong system knowledge and experience: SAP MM Module, Kabal, and Microsoft Office (specifically MS Excel).
Qualifications/Competencies Required and Preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities across diverse responsibilities with multiple stakeholders. Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
