Senior Support Worker - CAMHS Learning Disability

An exciting opportunity has arisen, and we are looking to appoint a committed, highly motivated, enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic CAMHS-LD Team.
As a Senior Support Worker you will work as a member of an established multi-disciplinary team which provides care to children and young people who have significant Learning Disabilities and are experiencing mental health and/or challenging behaviour difficulties.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have specific responsibilities to undertake a range of delegated clinical duties in a community setting under the supervision of the case holder. The post holder will contribute to the growth and maintenance of key functions of the clinical area / Team by carrying out assigned tasks such as direct observations, implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans etc. The role will involve direct and indirect care to patients under minimal supervision and as directed by the case holder. The post holder will be expected to support the whole MDT under guidance in delivering care.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from other services and agencies to promote joint working and assist in training across sectors and agencies as appropriate.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE in Maths and English at grade A - C/4-9 or alternatively Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2
Experience
* Work without direct supervision
* Practical experience in a health care setting
* Experience of working with people with learning disabilities / SEND
* Experience of working independently in community healthcare setting
* Experience working as part of a team
* Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing
