Main duties of the job Personal Cares, assisting patients with nutritional needs, patients vital signs, pain assessment, Wound care - cleaning wounds and applying dressings, Wound closure - under supervision of a practitioner, Phlebotomy, Cannulation, Applies plaster of Paris back slabs, Applies splints and bandages, Assesses patients for crutch walking, including crutch fitting Blood glucose testing Performs pregnancy testing Performs urine testing - and sends for microscopy under instruction. recording ECG's Keeping all areas of the department, clean and tidy. decontaminating cubicles and preparing cubicles for patient use.
