Our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Dovegate is looking for an experienced Mental Health Professional to join its friendly and professional team. Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidenced-based interventions, managing a caseload, practicing within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach. You will provide a care coordinator role and communicate effectively with other professionals, internal and external to the Inclusion team and prison, to ensure through care support where appropriate. You will work with individuals from initial assessment through to discharge, which can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs whilst working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway.

Person specification
Qualifications
* RMN, RNLD, OT, SW with appropriate registration.
* Evidence of continued development and up-to-date skills base.
* Evidence of recent CPD and compliance with NMC revalidation.
* Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems, counselling techniques, CBT, motivational interviewing.
* Teaching Certificate including annual update or related mentoring/coaching qualification.
* Qualification in therapeutic skills.
Experience
* Considerable experience of working in the mental health field.
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to promote service user involvement.
* Ability to hold a complex caseload of clients presenting with a different range of needs.
* Supervisory experience.
* Experience of group facilitation.
* Experience of working with dual diagnosis/mental health.
