This role is responsible for ensuring that all kit, equipment, and facilities used are in line with commercial and coaching protocols and standards.

The Person
* A minimum of three years’ experience of logistics/kit management in a sports environment or five years’ experience of logistics in a commercial organisation
* Experience within an elite Rugby environment will be considered advantageous
* Highly organised and used to working without supervision
* A formal logistics qualification/membership of professional body desirable
* Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft package
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
* Strong interpersonal and relationship management
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance
* Ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh is desirable
The Role
* Provide full kit/equipment/refreshment/recovery support to the Squad.
* Ensure that all kit and equipment used by the Squad is in line with commercial and tournament protocols: be responsible for reporting any exceptions to this to the Team Manager:
o Prepare, assemble, and issue kit and equipment to the Team and any other nominated individuals as directed
o Ensure all equipment required at all training and playing venues by coaching and management staff are of the appropriate standard and in good condition
o Ensure all required playing and training equipment is available and of appropriate standard
* Ensure all designated nutritional support is available as per the instructions of the National Team Manager at all training, playing and hotel venues:
o Ensure all training and recovery equipment is maintained and presented in the best possible state, safe for players, coaches and management to use.
* Manage the operation of the kit/equipment storage facilities at the Principality Stadium, NCE and any other nominated training venue.
* Manage the logistics function for all away games, specifically to ensure that:
o Comprehensive and accurate packing lists for all team baggage are compiled, recorded and maintained
o Equipment and kit arrive safely and in good condition: immediately report any shortfall or damage to the TM.
o All kit and gear is distributed to various departments and that team rooms and kit storage areas are organised and laid out ready for immediate action.
o A thorough reconnaissance of training venues is completed to ensure he/she has a thorough understanding of the environments the team are to use.
o Assist and Support Pathways Programmes as directed by Head Coach and Head of Women’s Rugby.
o Carry out duties to support Celtic Challenge, provide the preparation and management of kit and logistics as directed by programme leads.
o Carry out duties in support of the WRU Group Strategic Mission, Purpose and Values
o 35 hours per week. There is a degree of unsociable hours, weekend work and overseas travel as part of this role.
WRU Requirements
The WRU require that individuals are proficient in IT skills, specifically Microsoft packages. Excellent written and verbal communications are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and a Valid UK Driver's License is desirable. This role is subject to a basic/enhanced DBS check.
