Catering Assistant/Housekeeper Main Purpose of role: House keeper will be employed by the Board of the Peter Ashley Activity Centres Trust and will work with the Head of Ops/Centre Managers to fulfil the aims of the Centres. The Housekeeper will ensure that their objectives are met by working with partners and other staff members to ensure the facilities are managed to a high standard and maintain for our wide range of client groups. The Housekeeper is part of the Trust team and is expected to follow all rules of employment as laid out in the Staff Handbook, to work to the Vision and Mission of the Trust and to actively contribute to our success by sharing and discussing ideas, by maintaining high standards of work and by building effective relationships with current and prospective clients. The Housekeeper reports to the Centre Managers Fort Purbrook & Widley. The Housekeeper will follow all reasonable instructions given by the Centre Managers Fort Purbrook & Widley and/or senior managers of the Trust. Main Duties: Cleaning Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers, countertops, and sinks Maintaining a clean and sanitising kitchen areas Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and matting Sweeping/vacuuming and mopping hard floors Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, other cleaning tools and chemicals Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces Emptying bins and disposing of waste Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed Housekeeping Making beds and changing linens Washing windows Tidying up rooms Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements Catering Provide catering for the residentials Provide catering for corporate events Partnership Working Maintain working relationships with all centre users, key partners and trades Health and Safety The Housekeeper must: Follow all reasonable Health and Safety instructions; Wear and use any personal protective equipment required for the role; Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained by keeping walkways and doorways free of obstructions and trip hazards; Be familiar with all risk assessments relevant to the role; Attend all Health and Safety training relevant to the role as directed by the Health and Safety Officer In addition, the catering assistant/Housekeeper is expected to: General The Housekeeper may be required to do other work from time to time at the direction of the Centre Managers Fort Purbrook & Widley. The Housekeeper may be required to attend training in relation to the role and will be expected to put any training into practice and share best practice with colleagues.
