About the role
Our sales development team is responsible for lead generation, and successful pre-sales discussions. Guiding prospects to the next stage of the process, managing challenging conversations and complex administrative processes, and allocating time to a variety of channels.
We are looking for a Goal-driven and Charismatic Sales Development Representative to join our sales team and help us create greater and more highly qualified opportunities with a view to increase the probability of winning business whilst also increasing volume. It’s a broad and exciting role, so we’re looking for someone up for a challenge.
Core responsibilities
* Achieve a termly target of Sales Qualified Leads alongside the team (shared target)
* Speak to (qualify) prospects at all levels in schools and trusts, from school administrators to Chief Executive Officers running multiple schools; encourage them to speak about their challenges whilst starting to shape the sales cycle for our team
* Support the team in booking qualified, high quality meetings for our Sales team
* Work across multiple marketing channels (including online events, digital and postal marketing campaigns, in person events, and fast track programmes), nurturing schools and trusts who are at different stages of the buying cycle - over the short and long term
* Reflect on the success of the channels of inbound you work across and suggest ways to improve our conversion or the prospect’s sales experience
* Develop outbound prospecting strategies and track for success
* Feedback your experience into our Marketing team to help make sure our messaging is always relevant to our base
About you
* Understanding of the sales cycle, particularly lead generation and predicting revenue through the sales funnel
* Experience in SAAS sales, or similar industry
* Prior knowledge of education sector would be an advantage
* High level of organisation and time management skills, you’ll need to judge where best to spend your time
* Excellent email writing skills and the ability to adopt a company house style and explain complicated things in plain English
* Thoughtful about the bigger picture of new business, looking for trends, anticipating challenges in the sales cycle, and adjusting your style to your stakeholder
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining the highest standards of communication style and tone in emails, on the phone and internally
* Imaginative and creative in your approach to developing and nurturing leads at any stage of their buying cycle

Interview process
* Phone screen with our Talent Acquisition Partner
* Interview with Oliver (Sales Development Representative Manager) and a member from the Sales Development Representative team
* In person final stage including task with Oliver and some of the wider sales team
