The RoleAs a Solar Electrician, you'll be involved in the installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems on both domestic rooftops and commercial-scale projects. You'll work as part of a small team on-site, ensuring installations are completed safely, to spec, and within deadline.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out the electrical installation of solar PV systems (AC side)Support DC stringing, inverter mounting, and full system commissioningComplete testing, inspection, and certification of installed systemsEnsure all work meets current IET Wiring Regulations and MCS standardsTroubleshoot and rectify electrical faults during installation or post-installMaintain accurate records, including test sheets, job reports, and system logsLiaise with site managers, homeowners, or commercial clients as requiredMaintain high standards of health & safety at all timesRequirementsNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)18th Edition (BS 7671)ECS/CSCS cardFull UK driving licenceExperience installing and commissioning solar PV systems (domestic or commercial)Ability to read electrical drawings and work to spec independentlyStrong understanding of safe working practices and complianceDesirable (but not essential)2391 Testing & InspectionBattery storage installation experience (Tesla Powerwall, GivEnergy etc.)SolarEdge, Solis, Fronius inverter experienceWorking at height / PASMA / IPAF trainingEV charger installation experience (OZEV qualified)What's on Offer£38,000 – £45,000 base salary (DOE)Company van, tools, and PPE providedOvertime available + performance bonusesPaid travel timeTraining and development (e.g. battery, EV, MCS training)Opportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding renewables businessTPBN1_UKTJ
