We are inviting applications for a research technician post in the Wellcome Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine (WWIEM). The post-holder will be responsible for assisting with in vitro and in vivo experiments and helping with laboratory maintenance for the ophthalmology-based research teams led by Dr Karis Little and Dr Eleni Beli.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
1. Hold academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e., OND/ONC and/or NVQ level in relevant subject (or equivalent).
2. Have 2 years recent work experience in a relevant role to include:
* Experience in handling and maintaining experimental models.
* Experience working with animal tissue and animal models.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
