Job summary To work as part of a team and be responsible for carrying out administrative duties for the team, whilst liaising with service users & professional staff on an ongoing basis. Our service is focused on delivering high quality psychological therapy, and is amongst the highest performers in the region. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in improving access to this service. Main tasks of job involve telephone calls to service users, updating patient records with appointments and sending out appointment information. It may also involve helping out when other administrators are on leave. Main duties of the job This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative primary mental health service. The HPFT Talking Therapies service covers Hertfordshire, and the successful person will be based in Stevenage and the role covers the North Hertfordshire area of Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City and Baldock. Improving access is a key part of our service, and the role will include contacting individuals who have been referred and booking them to see a therapist at mutually convenient times. The successful person will be able to work in a busy, challenging and interesting environment and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. They would need to have a professional manner, be computer literate, conscientious and organised and be able to deal with confidential Service User issues. Knowledge of, or experience of working with individuals with mental health problems is desirable but not essential. Training will be given. We are looking to fill the post with a part time position.
