Job Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing the integration of the power unit into the power module, ensuring compatibility with all related systems. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage technical requirements, and ensure engine integration meets performance, safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the integration of the power unit into the power module, ensuring compatibility with all related systems (e.g., Electric motor coupling, cooling, lubrication, controls, electrical).
* Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets in conjunction with the Project management team regarding power unit integration activities.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless integration.
Technical Expertise
* Serve as the technical point of contact for power unit integration, providing expertise on power unit systems, calibration, and control strategies.
* Collaborate with power unit development teams to define integration requirements and specifications.
Testing and Validation
* Develop and execute comprehensive testing and validation plans for power unit integration, including dynamometer testing, power module testing, and durability assessments.
* Monitor and analyze test data to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engine systems engineering, powertrain integration, or a related field within the automotive or aerospace industry.
* Knowledge of engine systems, air compressors or gensets.
