Americold – Helping our customers Feed the World Here at Americold Europe we are now recruiting for an Operational PMO. The Operational PMO will develop and execute project work plans, revising them as needed to meet changing requirements while adhering to PMO methodologies and project standards. You will plan, script, and execute new process launches, encompassing the workstreams of People, Systems, and Facility Readiness for medium to large, complex facilities. In this role, you will utilize and manage tools such as project scheduling, facility ramp-up plans, hiring/training trackers, testing scripts, and key process indicators to monitor the progress of launch stability. You will identify necessary resources and assign responsibilities to both internal and external team members, minimizing project exposure and risk through effective contingency planning and risk mitigation. You will assign project tasks and review the quality of support provided by project team members. Managing project review meetings will be crucial to ensure work progresses as planned, addressing issues promptly and escalating when appropriate. Communication of progress against the plan to team members, stakeholders, the steering committee, and executives is essential, including developing updates and charts for external customers to review project progress as needed. Partnering with process owners, operators, and General Managers, you will fully understand the impact of customer requirements on overall project planning. You will assist in determining and evaluating operations best practices and coordinate their implementation, providing expertise to resolve problems during implementations. Supporting facility go-lives, conversions, and/or retrofits will be necessary to ensure operational readiness, minimizing downtime, productivity reductions, and accuracy issues. You will lead customers and internal operations through readiness checks and other workshops, utilizing PowerPoint to communicate work order sequences, vendor activities, workstream readiness, risk/contingency planning, and hiring/certification tracking. You will be fully responsible for assigned projects, driving progress, meeting deadlines and budgets, and keeping management informed. Managing change control will be essential to carefully analyze, review, and approve potential scope changes. You will report project performance, tracking measurements against budgeted costs, operational revenue, and profitability as defined in the overall business case. Additionally, you will support the training and coaching of management team members.
