As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding our 16-19 year old students through their GCSE Maths course. You'll create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of diverse learners. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ensure our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their Maths GCSEs and enable them to develop key maths skills for everyday life. Key Responsibilities of our GCSE Maths Teacher: Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed. Devising a range of effective training materials, including on-line materials. Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner. Delivering training sessions to a range of customers and clients either onsite or at employers’ premises. Liaising with other staff as appropriate to ensure a high standard of learning. Providing effective feedback to clients. Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters. Monitoring student enrolment, and success rates and taking remedial action where necessary, this will include final assessments where necessary. Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each. Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity. Our ideal GCSE Maths Teacher should have the below skills and experience: Relevant GCSE / Functional Skills / ESOL teaching and assessing experience in related subject Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject Level 2 literacy and numeracy Level 3 coaching qualification or willingness to work towards a qualification Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups The working pattern for this role will be discussed at interview.
