We now have an exciting opportunity for a Laundry Driver to join ourincredible team within our residential home, Elmwood on a contract of 14 hours per week.

Summary of duties:
-To collect soiled laundry and deliver cleaned laundry to each home to an agreed route and timetable
- To collect used uniforms and deliver clean uniforms to designated areas in each home.
- To operate the internal post system between all Homes and the Support Centre on a daily basis
- When needed, to sort, load and unload washers and dryers in the pre set sequence. Iron clean clothing and linen as appropriate. Fold clothing and linen and sort into containers for individual residents.
- To be conversant with the safe and economic use of laundry equipment.
- Adhere to companys Health and safety policy and report any accident that may occur.
- To be familiar with, and adhere to the policies and procedures of the Laundry department.
Skills required:
- At all times to communicate with residents, relatives and colleagues in a constructive and respectful manner.
-Ability to follow instructions ensuring work is completed in a timely manner
-Good working knowledge of Highway code and safe driving procedures
Ideally you will have previous experience working in a nursing home environment and an understanding of dementia.However, if you're new to the care sector mandatory training will be provided, but above all, a positive and can-do attitude is essential.
