Job Overview
An exciting opportunity to join Chesterfield Royal Hospital Maternity Services as a Lead Nurse for Transitional Care. The lead role will facilitate the implementation, management, and evaluation of the Transitional Care service, working alongside the Maternity and Neonatal teams. The unit will care for infants who meet the criteria for Neonatal Transitional Care as described in CNST Safety Action 3.
Responsibilities
* Support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
* Lead and work alongside the Ward Leader in providing high standards of holistic transitional care, ensuring compliance with best practice recommendations.
Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria:
* Registered with the NMC
* Recognised teaching qualification or experience.
* Qualified in Speciality (neonates) or equivalent course.
* Evidence of having completed relevant further study or training.
Desirable criteria:
* Recognised management or leadership qualification.
* 1st level degree.
* Trained in clinical supervision.
Experience
Essential criteria:
* Band 6 level experience in a neonatal unit.
* Neonatal Advanced life support training.
* Ability to manage staff and manage a change in service.
Desirable criteria:
* Community Experience.
* Knowledge of staff appraisal.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria:
* Knowledgeable practitioner in neonatal nursing
* Ability to apply evidence-based practice.
