As a member of the Front End Customer Service Team, you will make sure customers end their shopping trips with a positive experience. In this role, you'll provide incredible customer service by engaging customers in friendly conversation, carefully handling bagged items, and keeping the parking lot clear and safe for everyone. You'll leave a lasting impression and transform first-time shoppers into loyal Wegmans customers!
What will I do?
* Maintain the appearance and safety of the parking lot, gather shopping carts and pick up garbage
* Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
* Proactively offer additional assistance or services and thank the customer for shopping at Wegmans
* Offer additional service during inclement weather

Minimum Requirements:
Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting.
Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes standing, walking for long periods, bending, pushing and pulling, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at regular cash register station (see Cashier). The average weight range of items lifted, pushed, or pulled is 20 – 35 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly outdoors with seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping carts, Billy Goat, Mart Cart, snow blower, shovel, property maintenance equipment.
