CLIENT MANAGER – ACCOUNTANCY
Hybrid Working + Flexi Time
Salary: £34,000 - £47,000
Our client is an innovative and well-established Chartered Accountancy Practice who offers a wide range of accountancy knowledge within various areas. They work with high net-worth clients – both individuals and businesses. Now looking for a qualified Accountant with a minimum of 4 years working in an Accountancy Practice.
The Duties:
Compliance Work:
1. Preparation and filing of year end accounts, business tax, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders, etc.
2. Preparation of corporation tax returns.
3. Assistance with implementation of R&D Tax claims into the accounts and tax returns of limited companies.
4. Reducing the burden of taxation on the business and their owners with good tax planning and advice.
Outsourcing & Advisory Work:
1. Manage own caseload of clients for bookkeeping, VAT and Management account services within own portfolio.
2. Ensure client documents are received in time for completion of work, adhering to deadlines.
3. Perform the initial review of all management accounts returns prior to final manager/director reviews.
4. Preparation of integrated financial projections and budgets incorporating profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
Management, Staff and Practice Development:
1. Assist, help & support the Directors, Associate Directors and Senior Client Managers.
2. Manage own pool of clients within the wider client portfolio in terms of delivery of services, reporting deadlines and communications.
3. Assist with training and development of less experienced Client Managers, Client Accountants, new starters, etc.
4. Manage and motivate a team of Client Accountants and Senior Client Accountants.
5. Using various systems including: TaxCalc, Xero software and various cloud-based accounting software.
6. Attend meetings with portfolio of clients along with Directors.
7. Responsible for accurate recording of own time sheets on a daily basis.
Requirements:
1. The successful Accountant must have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience of working in an accountancy practice.
2. Ideally be AAT or ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
3. Motivated and confident – excellent communication skills.
