About the role
This post is an excellent opportunity for a Communications Officer to progress their career as part of a very strong multidisciplinary and multisectoral team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual. The post-holder will lead on the production and delivery of the Centre’s science communication to external audiences, including blog posts, podcasts, digital output and the Centre’s website as well as maintaining an effective social media presence while keeping abreast of Centre activities for dissemination to all relevant stakeholders.
About you
The post holder will be educated to degree level or equivalent with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and have experience of assimilating and synthesising information about complex subjects for lay audiences and users of research. With experience of working within a team, to undertake initiatives, prioritise and plan appropriately within a strategic framework, they will develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels in the Centre, across organisational boundaries and with external stakeholders. The postholder will apply excellent IT and word processing skills ( Microsoft Word), desktop publishing and image manipulation ( InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop) to plan, manage, monitor and report on multiple, simultaneous projects and events independently, and proactively engage with the wider research and policy landscape to identify relevant opportunities.
