Berwick Partners are workingwith an established and recognised Yorkshire based utility providerto recruit a permanent Head of Data.
Thepurpose of this role is to proactively drive data quality to enablebetter decision-making and improve operational performance. This isa senior leadership role, reporting directly to the CIO and will bea key member of the IT & Technology Executive team.
You will:
* Own the datastrategy and be responsible for defining the datavision.
* Lead and reshape an established teamof 30+ data professionals.
* Support thebusiness by providing data and insights to both track currentperformance and shape future direction.

The Role:
* Create, own, and deliver the datastrategy and data governance and assurance approach.
* Drive design and implementation of technical dataarchitectures, artefacts, and infrastructure, as well as creating aData Product Management process and catalogue.
* Drive delivery of advanced analytics support data drivendecision making.
* Create and manage anexperienced and effective team of data professionals including DataArchitects, Data Scientists, Data Product Managers, Data Analystand Data Engineers.
The Candidate:
* Previous experience in data strategy designand delivery, ideally in a regulated, asset-rich environment – e.g.utilities, gas, electric, water, oil & gas, and nuclear. Orbroader infrastructure sector experience - rail, road,highways.
* Strong understanding of DataManagement Frameworks, including Data Architecture, Governance,Engineering and Analytics.
* Ability toarticulate data models, communicating effectively with thetechnical team and broader commercial stakeholders.
* High motivation, self-reliance and a drive forcontinuous development.
