Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Qualified Residential Care Practitioner for a Children’s Home in Solihull.
Duties will include:
* Support and work directly with children and young people to promote positive outcomes and independence
* Engage in activities including play, cooking, personal care, and community involvement
* Assist with educational and health needs
* Perform general household duties, maintenance, and health & safety checks
* Manage budgeting and financial aspects within the home
* Provide key working and advocacy support
* Implement behaviour management strategies
* Maintain high standards in accordance with OFSTED requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Quality Care Standards
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
* Adhere to risk assessments and ensure the safety of all residents
* Work in collaboration with external agencies and attend necessary meetings and reviews
* Complete detailed reports and documentation as required
In order to be considered:
* Previous experience in a children’s care home setting is essential
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence required
* Familiarity with residential care principles is beneficial
* Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People's Workforce) or willingness to work towards this qualification
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight stays
* Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK

Hours of Work: 8am – 10pm (2 on / 4 off) (between 6-8 sleep in’s per month)
Salary: £24,000 per annum / sleep in’s are paid at an additional £60 per sleep
