About Us The mission of the City of London Corporation is clear. We want to provide great services to everyone who lives and works here, so it is essential that we are able to achieve our Business Rate and Council Tax collection targets. And with you on our team, we will be able to do just that. Working collaboratively with our customers, you will handle the administration, billing, collection, and recovery of revenues including NNDR. Whether conversing with customers on the phone, in person or via written correspondence, you will work in-line with the relevant legislation, taking ownership of follow-up actions such as preparing refunds and issuing reminders. We want to help our customers pay what they owe before enforcement actions are taken, so you will thrive here if you have good numeracy and written skills. Working towards an IRRV qualification, you will ideally have experience of working in a Revenues environment. Above all else, we will expect you to have excellent communication and diplomacy skills. In return, you can look forward to a competitive benefits package, plus excellent career opportunities. Closing date: 12 noon on 25 November 2024. Interviews will be held on 9 & 10 December 2024. Because our roles are so varied, we don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ policy for workplace attendance. How many days a week you’ll be required to attend your workplace will depend on the requirements of your role. It’s important that you understand the requirements before applying to ensure you are able to meet them. We are committed to considering requests to work flexibly and job share. Requests will be considered by the recruiting manager in line with our policies and business needs. For more information on our categories for workplace attendance, please view our guides. We will be reviewing this policy and approach at regular intervals to ensure we’re meeting our attendance needs.
