Our client in Sussex is seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner to oversee caravan site licensing activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the inspection and regulation of residential and holiday caravan sites, ensuring compliance with legislative standards.
Rate circa £40-£46 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Regulation:
1. Conduct inspections of residential and holiday caravan sites to assess compliance with relevant legislation and licensing conditions.
2. Provide advice to site operators to improve standards and address areas of non-compliance.
Complaint Investigation:
1. Investigate complaints related to caravan sites, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
2. Maintain accurate records of complaint investigations and actions taken.
Fit and Proper Person Assessment:
1. Assess applications for fit and proper person status under the Mobile Homes (Fit and Proper Person) Regulations.
2. Evaluate evidence and prepare reports for decision-making purposes.
Enforcement Actions:
1. Issue compliance notices where necessary to address breaches of site licence conditions.
2. Prepare evidence for and attend court or tribunal proceedings to support enforcement actions.
Collaboration and Communication:
1. Work collaboratively with colleagues, site operators, and other stakeholders.
2. Provide clear and professional communication, including written reports and oral presentations.
