The Role
Shape the Future of Growth at a Strategic Level
We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Board and take ownership of all Sales, Marketing, and Commercial activities across the UK and Ireland. This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic and results-oriented individual to spearhead the development of a robust Commercial Strategy, aligned with EMEA regional and global objectives, and drive transformative growth in a highly competitive market.
Key Objectives
* Develop and deliver the commercial strategy with target sales ROI across UK&Ireland.
* Build the new business pipeline to achieve or exceed budgeted new business targets.
* Review and develop the Commercial organisational structure to meet future growth expectations.
* Further expand and increase business in value-added freight forwarding, contract logistics, e-commerce and cross-border activities.
* Scale up the business: not only through closing deals but find the right client that fits Seko Logistics strategy and “Golden Customer Profile”.
* Present key updates on all commercial activities within the monthly Board meeting.
* Attend internal and external conferences and trade shows.
* Proactively building up a strong personal pipeline.
* Own the lead generation and marketing process with marketing ROI reporting.
* Work closely with EMEA and Global Seko offices/ partner to deliver and develop solutions within own network.
* Work together with the Sales, Marketing and Product teams to collaborate on delivering the sales strategy.
* Product development leadership and innovation.
* Architecting and support the sales organization to continuously improve the commercial teams ROI.
* Choose and see the right opportunities that fit Seko strategy and manage customer expectations.
* Successfully sell additional services and solutions to current and new clients.
Experience
* Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in supply chain and logistics ideally with experience across all core SEKO services of freight forwarding (air, ocean, road), contract logistics/ fulfilment and cross-border parcel.
* Managing and growing a Sales & Marketing team for scale with expectations of significant YoY revenue/ GP growth.
* Experience in implementing commercial strategies to meet short term and long-term opportunities.
* Consultative approach and ability to understand complex end-to-end solutions.
* Ability to let customers grow through proposing innovative solutions and adding value.
* Experience with international e-commerce led solutions.
* Global/Regional experience, international mindset.
* Able to sell technology solutions to the clients.
* Able to upscale and structure the sales organisation.
* Experience in orchestrating and guiding the sales organisation.
* Have a broad network in the UK/ EMEA and is client-driven.
* Leadership and vision related to freight forwarding.
* Demonstrable experience in overseeing the generation of new business opportunities and relationship management.
